Best Palm Springs Hotels

The Modernism Week Fall Preview in Palm Springs is around the corner and over the next few days we will share with you best places to stay, where to eat and what to do when you had enough of pool parties (if that’s possible). First, let’s get you covered with a hotel room.

Since first silent movies played on screen, Palm Springs has been an escape for Hollywood’s celebrities. Resorts and hotels have started popping up in the 20s, and little has changed over the time. Maybe the stars don’t flock as much as in the past, but Palm Springs is still mushrooming with amazing hotels, from super posh to minimally simplistic. Seemingly, a new hotel is opening almost every week, and our list of hotels-to-stay-at-in-Palm-Springs is growing. To help you choose your stay we rounded up six hotels you definitely need to put on your Palm Springs list. best palm springs hotels

Yes, we are aware you know about it, and maybe you have been to this one, but no round up is complete without Ace Hotel Pool & Spa. Already more of an institution with pool parties, game nights, live music and just super chill vibes, the Ace is the place to spend (at least) one night. The army-inspired, with bohemian touches, design welcomes young and young at heart, and everyone who loves a hip, cool atmosphere.

3 reasons to stay here:

Lively pool atmosphere with a DJ if that’s your jam.

Ace has several, secluded outdoor fireplaces with sofas and chairs, where you can sit and sip on your drink and enjoy the hot       Palm Spring nights. We highly recommend ordering food from the room service and enjoying it in front. It’s one of the best “restaurant” seats in Palm Springs.

If you want entrainment, but don’t want to leave your hotel, Ace has you covered with events.

Color explosion in a best possible way. The Parker has been a playground for designer Jonathan Adler, where he paired kaleidoscopic patterns, bold colors, luxurious textures and extravagant objects. The result is one of the best-designed hotels we have ever snoozed at. At your convenience are also tennis courts, spas and swimming pool.

3 reasons to stay here:

The bedding! Sleeping on a cloud gets here an entirely new meaning.

Play croquet. When was the last time you dressed up to play sports? We thought so.

Steel some decoration ideas for your own home.

Welcome to a Mediterranean cottage, or a Moroccan summer house, or a mesmerizing mix of both. What used to be homes to a silent movie star and an artist is today the beautiful Korakia Pensione. Bougainvillea covered white walls, fountains, antique furnishings and a very calm ambiance make Korakia an escape into another world. The prices may be a bit upscale, but the experience is well worth the money.

3 reasons to stay here:

Rustic, yet minimalistic decorated room with plush bedding promise the perfect nap.

The evenings around the fireplace, under the string light, on the oversized pillows have definitely Arabian Nights vibes.

Relax with Moroccan tea service each afternoon.

When there is former Facebook employee involved into a development of a hotel, you bet there will be some tech gadgets in your room. Means also you are checking in on an iPad, and your room keys are handed out by the barkeeper. We get our keys and our cocktail straight away –we like that. The Arrive is the newest addition to Palm Spring’s hotel scene, the first hotel to be built up from scratch in past decades. It features contemporary rooms, pool, restaurant and an ice shop(pe).

3 reasons to stay here:

It’s all new.

You are close to an ice cream shop, which is kind of necessary for surviving hot Palm Spring days.

Regular, complimentary movie nights with drinks and snacks.

Colorful, more colorful, The Saguaro. Your Instagram feed will get a significant color boost if you stay here. Beloved by Millennial audience and good for a cocktail at the pool. To unwind, the Saguaro also offers relaxing yoga classes and spa treatments.

3 reasons to stay here:

Enough Instagram material to overwinter the cold, nothing-really-fancy-happened days.

Tinto, the Basque tapas restaurant is one of the best places to dine & drink.

Taco Tuesday! Tacos & Margarita from $3 — do we need to say more?

Technically, it’s not a classic hotel, you can rent it over Airbnb, but it can compete with every 4-star resort. The Amado has one-bedroom suites with kitchen, dining room, living room and communal patio area with loungers and pool. The design is a perfect balance between Scandinavian simplicity and mid century desert elements.

3 reasons to stay here:

It’s a home away from home in a local neighborhood.

You can cook your own meals here.

Amado is perfect for family or friends vacations because you can rent the whole complex.
