It all looks good at the Goodland Hotel in Goleta!
You might not have Goleta, a suburb next to Santa Barbara, on your bucket list of places to visit, but you must put Goodland immediately on your hotels-to-stay-at list.
B
liss-out for a weekend at this retro-chic hotel with eclectic accents and beach-cottage vibes. What once used to be a (not so stylish) Holiday Inn is today a playground for the design enthusiasts. Surfboards on the ceilings, macrame wall hangings, vintage movie posters, colorful cement tiles; this is just the iceberg tip of Instagram -worthy spots sprinkled through the property. Goodland Hotel
The Goodland makes you feel really good with its yoga at the pool classes, fit tours and occasionally retreats. And the in-house restaurant, Outpost, nourishes your body with local, organic dishes. For that nightcap and crafty cocktails take a seat at the Good Bar. Practice your billiard skills at one of the two pool tables or try your luck with backgammon. If you are into vinyl, VNYL, the record shop lets you select records for your room, and you can also purchase your favorites. On occasion, there are music events and movie nights happening at the Goodland.
Get your yoga poses with Sunday classes at the pool.
And if you just want to chill out in your room, you will love it. Equipped with old-school record players (it’s not just decoration, they work), a mini bar stocked with local bites and drinks, really comfy beds and crisp sheets for long naps, this is your own haven.
We cannot wait to go back and relax for a day or three. And if you need some recreation while at Goodland, the surrounding area is full of great hikes and beaches for strolls and surfing.
Go hiking at the Shores County Park or watch surfers at the Sands Beach.
