San Francisco Welcomes Refinery29’s 29Rooms

After New York and Los Angeles, Refinery 29 is bringing its 29Rooms to San Francisco. The 4-day interactive exhibition is everything your selfie-heart ever wanted, and a bit more.

What started in 2015 as an event for Refinery 29’s 10th anniversary developed into a national festival of creativity, style, and culture.
Next to popular installations displayed in NYC and LA, the San Francisco pop-up will feature a spectacular line-up of new creatives, artists, and celebrities. Jessica Alba, Anna Kendrick, Paul Feig, Marina Fini, to name a few, are collaborating with 29Rooms to bring art, innovation, creativity, and awareness about social issues to the audience. Making 29Rooms more than just a selfie backdrop – although it doesn’t hurt to take a selfie or two.
Instagram-worthy photo ops abound in the former Exploratorium space at the Palace of Fine Arts, which will be home to 29Rooms from Thursday, June 21st through Sunday, June 24th. The $39 ticket will get you a set time slot, so you don’t wait in a line forever and three hours to explore the interactive exhibition on your own pace.

“With 29Rooms debut in San Francisco, we wanted to tap into the amazing energy of the city to celebrate community and champion the creativity of our collaborator and our audience. ” – Refinery29 Co-founder and Executive Creative Director Piera Gelardi.

Become a Masterpiece within the kaleidoscopic booths pained by artist Alexa Meade in Room 1-2 or punch some boxing bags with gloves for more equality in Room 8 created in collaboration with Madame Gandhi and Jen Mussari.

Dance it out at the silent disco in Room 4 created in partnership with Lizzo — disco balls included.

Grab the handphones, enter Room 15 aka the Womb and experience the tranquil, meditation session guided by the calming voice of Cleo Wade.

Dreamers Den invites you to take a seat in a modern cabaret, share your dreams and let improvisation singer, Darby Walker, turn them into songs with her magical voice.

These are just a few of the installations. To see and experience them all get your ticket ( there are time slots left) and enjoy a feast for all senses.

PS. Don’t forget to charge your smartphone fully.

**UPDATE: Tickets are sold out.
